• About Reinaldo Gibbs

    Reinaldo Gibbs is a longtime New Jersey public administrator keen on social work. Closely involved with the Seventh Day Adventist church, he has contributed to ministry work within prisons and local food pantries. Reinaldo Gibbs has also been active with several community organizations over the years, including the Brooklyn Domestic Violence Task Force. He co-chaired the Brooklyn Brownsville/East New York Neighborhood Network’s Child Abuse Prevention Sub-Committee.

    From 2018 to 2021, Mr. Gibbs held responsibilities with the Amboy Care Nursing Home in Perth Amboy as social services director. He developed guidelines for a residential home with 175 beds and communicated closely with physicians, families, and residents. He also worked with visiting nurses and physical therapists in discharge planning for short and long-term stay residents.

    Mr. Gibbs holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Panama in nursing and earned an MS in social work at Hunter College. Following graduation, he continued to expand on his social work training through the institution’s PhD program. Reinaldo Gibbs has previously been a member of organizations such as the National Association of Social Workers and the Staten Island Domestic Violence Task Force.
